SENIOR HEALTHCARE PM (PROJECT MANAGER) - Our client is a leader in the healthcare space and they are seeking a Senior Implementation Project Manager responsible for leading the implementation of our clients EMR/EHR systems (EPIC) software - particular focused on moving data (Data Archives) from legacy systems into new EPIC Software. During the implementation, the Project Manager will direct and lead a cross-functional team of subject matter experts and will be responsible for the successful and on-time completion of the project and the contractual deliverables. The ideal candidate has HEALTHCARE or HOSPITAL SYSTEMS experience with custom software implementations for large and complex organizations, applying leadership, rigor and discipline around establishing, documenting and communicating project plans; effectively coordinating resources, monitoring and reporting progress and intervening as necessary to ensure that quality, schedule, budget and other requirements are met. Position responsibilities encompass:
  • Lead and monitor the full implementation process from initiation to deployment to ensure all deliverables are met according to contract
  • Build and manage client relationships
  • Manage multiple client implementations and projects/tasks simultaneously
  • Assess & evaluate new client requirements against the scope of the project
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, resources and tasks to ensure that quality solutions are delivered within time and cost constraint
  • Use ticket tracking system to document client/project needs and manage these through the workflow to completion
  • Identify, document, and manage project risks during implementations; escalate issues as appropriate
  • Work with Development Lead to plan and monitor the delivery of custom client requirements using an agile methodology.
  • Follow the project implementation methodology using our existing project management tools and other tools as necessary to guide and ensure customer decision making on required implementation issues
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project implementation methodology by ensuring that best practices and decisions are documented throughout the implementation
  • Prepare project status reports and presentations to keep management, customers and others informed of the project status and issues
  • Leading and monitoring quality assurance across the full implementation process to ensure all deliverables, User Acceptance Testing, client training and final deployment to production are met according to contract
  • Work closely in partnership with the stakeholders to ensure internal handoffs are clean and complete
Experience & Education:
  • Bachelors' degree in a technology or business major
  • 7-10 years' experience with large-scale project management
  • Experience with HEALTHCARE EMR/EHR  Systems like EPIC, CERNER, MCKESSON, ALLSCRIPTS, etc
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile approaches to software development and implementation
  • Experience working with large/complex clients
  • Strong Experience with Microsoft Suite, including MS Project or equivalent
