Job Summary 
The Business Analyst position plays a key role in providing crucial internal analytical insights to the client' s Global Operations leadership team, in a consulting capacity, to other strategic areas of the company.  This role also provides metrics and reporting support to the field, enabling management improvement and performance measurement. This role directly impacts $22M in annual freight spend and $53M in annual distribution & facilities spend, as well as overall supply chain & distribution network strategies.
Job Responsibilities
·         Perform analysis on routing data to include:
·         Perform Fleet Optimization analysis on a yearly basis to include:
·         Analyze supply chain, transportation, and distribution network for various projects as requested
·         Perform numerous Distribution and Freight analyses to reduce cost & time to streamline operations
·         Identify insights from data analytics that support recommendations
·         Provide recommendations for process/cost improvement opportunities based on analysis of data
·         Establish, maintain, and communicate various assigned supply chain and transportation metrics
·         Provide detailed distribution and freight analyses outlining the effects of closing or relocating facilities in the client' s  North American (U.S. & Canada) as part of network analysis
·         Analyze risks and opportunity considerations and develop insights to guide executives in business decisions
·         Create ad hoc reporting and develop new reporting tools to support departmental and field objectives. Maintain, revise, & work towards automation of regular reporting
·         Provide support as requested as a SME for freight payments
·         Assist in the development of fleet & network strategy. Provides recommendations to leadership
·         Manage special projects as requested
·         Identify technical process improvements and document standard operating procedures (SOP) for technical activities
·         Provide analytics on request WMS data projects as needed
·         Predictive analytics on warehouse and driver turnover
·         Product assortment analytics supporting analysis done in other departments (utilizing SAS)
·         Development and maintenance of necessary dashboards to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs)
·         Act as subject matter expert (SME) and user acceptance testing (UAT) approver for transportation data in the client' s Data Cloud
·         Maintain Operations Network cost summary PowerPoint
·         Act as primary business intelligence (BI) interface with external operations department vendors to improve data integrity and gain better access to operations related data (ex, ftp, API) Example vendors are (but not limited to)
·         Coach, train, and provide leadership to team members and other analysts with regards to data integrity and analysis
·         Assist and/or train field staff on how to interpret and effectively utilize data presented
·         Work closely with Finance to integrate and streamline the annual budget processes. Main Finance/Logistics interface for budget and P/L analytics
·         Create or provide input/adjustments to various transportation budgets, including Operations Consulting, Freight, Distribution and Facilities expense, Mail and UPS, and Driver Labor
·         Ensure decisions resulting from distribution analyses are accounted for in budget
·         Responsible for freight coding profile, in collaboration with Working Capital Manager
Job Requirements
·         Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field.
·         1-3 years in a logistics, finance, or business data analytics field required.
·         Strong analytical ability required

·         Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (ex, pivot tables, macros, advanced formulas - Vlookup, index/match)
·         Ability to use regression analysis in efforts, or willingness to learn
·         Ability to combine information from multiple systems into an integrated reporting structure
·         Prior experience with SQL or desire to learn
·         Prior experience with Tableau, or desire to learn
·         Ability to learn data tools such as (SSRS, SSIS, PowerPivot, Toad, SQL Server Management Studio, Hyperion SmartView, Microsoft Access, Oracle, SAS, and IBM AS400 iSeries) required Technical knowledge in Mapping/routing tools (such as MapPoint, Maptitude, & Appian' s Direct Route) preferred
